20 Hour Barre Teacher Training
20 Hour Barre Teacher Training
Join our Instructor Erin Chambers for a two-weekend, 20HR in person Barre Certification at Amrita Yoga & Wellness this January 2025!
Erin was certified through Barre Above in 2017 and has been teaching Barre at Amrita since. Erin’s training comes from the foundational principles of the Lotte Burke method, the Barre Above® certification additionally distills traditional class components through the most cutting-edge of exercise science.
Far from being only a dancer’s workout, the methodology of Barre training mixes an artful blend of ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training movements into a signature sequence with purpose. This purpose is innately shared across diverse fitness levels, ages, and body types due to its progressions and choose-your-own approach to range of motion.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to bring to barre teacher training?
Yourself, snacks, water and some energy! Bring a notebook, pad of paper for notes. We'll provide you with the training materials you'll need.
I’ve never taught exercise before. Can I still take the training?
Yes! Even if you've never taught an exercise class before, we encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. You'll be surprised how much teaching is part of your everyday life (connecting to people, public speaking) and the rest you'll learn as you go!
I’ve never tried barre. What do I need to know?
You should take at least 10 barre classes before you start your Teacher Training. That way you get an idea of barre exercises and how teachers teach in class. Barre classes are a low impact strength and toning exercise that will make you work muscles you didn't even know you had. It's not easy, so expect to sweat and work hard.
What if I can't make all the dates for training?
We require you to be present for all days of training in order to receive a certification. Unfortunately we can't reschedule an individual training day just for one person. Please note that we reserve the right not to issue a certification to any person who we do not feel is prepared to teach safe and effective barre classes.
Space Is Limited & We Recommend Enrolling Early!
$495 if enrolled prior to 12/11/24; $595 after.
